Disasterous digging?

Heya guys
so i went down to worthing to dig some lug. awful digging barely any lug.
i got more whites than lug, going to use them later today after bass.
baits are lug whites and mackerel. probs a pennel rig.

ill post a report when i get back.

Goring beach 11/03/2013

Met up with josh and Sam and headed off to goring for some bass fishing.
baits we had were lug mackerel king rag and white rag oh and also a single sand eel.

we were up and running it around 10mins
i used a pennel rig,
sam used hook line sinker ha
dont know what josh used.
we all opted to start with lug, so we fished of sea lane rocks into thee middle.
not alot of weed to start with so we were ok.
no bites there so we moved onto the actual beach, where sams measly 9ft rod wasnt much good .
josh had a few bites but couldnt deliver same with me, around 1 hour before high the weed became a real problem and it became unfishable.
over all nice day out with friends a nice kfc all that was missing what the fish, waiting for it to warm up next week or week after then will be back down shoreham.

Shoreham harbour 10/04/2013

Fished in shoreham harbour today, inside the lock gates near the boats not expecting alot
no wrasse at all on float.
messed around with the plugs for a while to no effect.
For the last few hours float fished some ragworm inside the harbour looking for bass.

quite cold towards midday onwards give it a few weeks and it will pick up.

i set myself small targets to fufil in the year.

               catch a thick lipped mullet
              catch a garfish on a float
              catch a flounder
              and last my main target of 5 species
